Adequate commercial property insurance a must for European ventures
Property owners and investors looking to spread their wings and move into European property have been advised to ensure their finances and buy to let insurance policy are up-to-date.
The advice comes from Kimberley Millhouse, a senior move manager at Crown Relocations, who believes that these two issues are the main ones that people should be considering when they 'go continental'.
Insurance and financial issues can often be dealt with in Europe slightly differently and Ms Millhouse was unwavering in her adamance that they need to be considered.
Ms Millhouse said: "You will need to sort out your finances and insurance and explore overseas bank accounts, deciding how you will manage your money when abroad.
"It may be that you close down your UK savings and investment accounts or decide to keep them running."
Crown Relocations is a division of the Crown Worldwide Group. It has a team of almost 3,000 professionals, delivering a full range of relocation services.
