Buy to let insurance holders 'still see property as good investment'

Property remains one of the best options for investing money and buy to let insurance policyholders are likely to continue building their portfolios, according to an expert.
Tom Entwistle, editor at LandlordZONE, said that the strength of the residential lettings market at the moment is encouraging buy to let insurance policyholders to invest in new properties.
"However, caution is the key to success, investing selectively in the right areas and in the right properties at the right prices," he added.
Mr Entwistle went on to say that the extent to which buy to let insurance policyholders add to their portfolios in 2010 will depend on how the economy recovers and the availability of mortgage products.
He was commenting following research by Paragon Mortgages which found that ten per cent of landlords want to invest in new property in the first three months of the year.
The survey revealed that 65 per cent are looking to buy a terraced property.
