Commercial property insurance buoyed by foreign property investment
Foreign property owners have been found to be boosting the London property market as well as the commercial property insurance market following a study by Douglas and Gordon.
According to the estate agents, property owners are playing a vital role in the current property market within the UK. This looks likely to have had knock-on effects for other associated industries.
Ed Mead, director at Douglas and Gordon, believes that this trend for foreign ownership in London isn't likely to go away in the near future.
Mr Mead said: "At the moment there seems a very strong momentum towards trying to keep the euro together. If the euro is kept together then it will probably be strong, so it is unlikely that the dynamic is going to change."
Knight Frank recently reported that prime London property prices rose one per cent in November 2011, contributing to annual growth of 12.6 per cent.
