Commercial property insurance: Businesses still struggling
Written by Jenny Smith
The demand for business debt advice is continuing to increase, an expert reports, which could concern those with commercial property insurance.
Beccy Boden Wilks, spokesperson for the Business Debtline, claims that the number of calls it has been receiving are continuing to rise as more companies are being affected by the recession.
She says that any green shoots in the economy have not reached the average small firms and is yet to be felt at grassroots level, which could concern commercial property insurance holders.
"We can't predict how long the recession is going to last, we can't predict how long people are still going to be feeling the effects of the recession," she asserts.
Ms Wilks says that, as far as her organisation is concerned, she cannot see things becoming easier for the average firm in the nearby future.
Recent figures published by PricewaterhouseCoopers showed that there has been a slight drop in the number of insolvencies in England and Wales.
