Croatian property 'good value for money'
The combination of low property prices, a good location and a variety of different types of property is making Croatia popular with UK investors, according to one expert.
With eight per cent growth in tourist numbers last year, Croatia is becoming a more popular tourist destination as well as a new favourite for UK buyers and as the property has not fully developed it offers "exceptionally good value for money", according to Property Abroad director Les Calvert.
He said that the country, which has an Adriatic coast, represents a good investment "for the investor who likes to get ahead of everybody else".
"It's not as developed a property market as those other countries [such as Greece and Italy], but it's certainly one to look out for," he commented.
A well as being ideally located for visitors from around Europe, Croatia also has a variety of properties.
He said: "People are looking at cities, inland properties that they can pick up relatively cheaply. [But] also people are looking at new developments on the beaches. It really is a bit of everything."
