Draught-proofing can help property owners and tenants
Property owners looking to add to savings available by comparing commercial insurance quotes should consider draught-proofing their buildings because of its affordability and usefulness.
That's the view of Andrew Leech, executive director of the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC), who believes that the practical benefits of draught-proofing for tenants and owners are evident.
Mr Leech suggested that with the government's Green Deal on the horizon, anything to improve efficiency would be a boost for landlords and the environment. The deal aims at improving energy efficiency across the property and business industries.
Mr Leech said: "One of the cheapest and largest payback factors is good draught-proofing.
"Get a good draught-proofing system into your house to cut out all the gaps in your doors and windows then that can be one of the cheapest and most effective ways of improving the value of your house."
The NHIC represents companies and organisations that work in the home improvement sector.
