Estate agents preparing for Hips
Estate agents are being prepared for the mandatory roll-out of Home Information Packs (Hips) next year by undertaking a number of different courses the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) has explained.
Taking place next month, a number of courses are being run across the country informing estate agencies how to deal with the packs.
It will also offer background information to packs as well as advising agents about their roles and responsibilities.
Paul Broadhead, deputy director for the Association of Home Information Pack Providers (Ahipp), said: "Despite the NAEA's continued campaign against Hips I am delighted to see that they are now facing the reality that on June 1st Hips will happen."
Describing the courses as a "vital step" in the preparation of estate agents for Hips, Mr Broadhead also encouraged estate agents that were uncertain about the implications of the packs to attend one of the courses.
