Flooding to affect insurance premiums?
Heavy flooding briefly hit parts of the UK yesterday, with the east of England being affected most comprehensively.
The Met Office also issued severe weather warnings in five other regions of the UK, including Northern Ireland, south-west Scotland, the Midlands, Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Downfalls were particularly heavy in Norfolk and Suffolk, with rainfall reaching up to 25mm at its heaviest, although the worst of the weather abated between 18:00 and 19:00 BST yesterday evening.
Anglia Water also said there had been reports of flooding up to five feet deep in Great Yarmouth, with the town's railway station having been shut.
With climate change seeming to make the weather more unpredictable on British shores, premiums on commercial property insurance could be affected.
