Increased rent guarantee insurance predicted due to 'mixed' property market
According to MyMortgageDirect, the housing market remains mixed and property prices are varying across the country, which could lead to increase rental arrangement and higher levels of rent guarantee insurance.
Catherine Hearnden, director at the company, said that experts and property owners have seen the property market return mixed results with prices and performance across the UK.
She also recommended that looking at performance in London is usually a good test for how the rest of the country's market may go.
Ms Hearnden said: "Everything I have read from everywhere else, seems to think that they [house prices] will go down. It seems to be mixed and I think it will depend upon what part of the country you're in and what the property is. I really don't think that anybody can predict it."
According to recent Nationwide statistics, house prices increased by 0.4 per cent in October of this year.
