Investors drawn to emerging markets 'due to low risks'
Foreign investors are drawn to emerging property markets as they offer prospects of a good return and are relatively inexpensive to get into, according to Property Frontiers.
The view comes after an Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP) report revealed that around 30-35 per cent of money which is spent on the overseas market is in emerging markets.
Emma Holifield, PR and marketing executive at Property Frontiers, said: "Investing in emerging markets is appealing to investors as they typically have lower entry costs than established markets as well as the potential for significantly higher returns."
She added that at the same time, the overall purchase process can be "more complicated and the investment potentially riskier".
The report from AIPP went on to say that Bulgaria was the most significant trailblazer in terms of new markets being established.
Property Frontiers is dedicated to the world's largest emerging markets and is a founder member of the AIPP.
