Landlord insurance holders 'should expand portfolio'
Written by Judith Stevenson
Landlord insurance holders who are thinking of setting up their own property business could find that now is the right time, according to an expert.
A spokesperson at workplace solutions company Regus said that demand for commercial property space has increased in recent months, suggesting that more people are setting up firms.
He said that people are being made redundant and are deciding to set up their own business and said that many firms start up in recessions.
The current low property prices could make it an ideal time for landlord insurance holders with capital to expand their portfolio, he says.
According to the representative: "Lots of very successful entrepreneurs started off in difficult times or under difficult circumstances and took the leap into the unknown."
His comments follow the release of figures from Regus which show that its revenues have risen by 9.8 per cent this year.
