Professional buy to let insurance holders 'will get bargains in 2010'

Professional buy to let insurance policyholders will be looking to take opportunities to snap up bargains in 2010, according to an expert.
Chris Horne, editor at Property Hawk, predicted that next year the private rental market would be more stable after the turbulence of 2009.
He forecasted that interest rates would stay pretty low and tenant demand would remain relatively strong.
The main concern for buy to let insurance policyholders will be tenants' financial situations, with unemployment levels still high, Mr Horne said.
However, with prices unlikely to rise in the short-term, they will be able to get a good deal on property, he added.
"Where landlords can find a real bargain perhaps at auction or perhaps because there is a forced seller they will maybe take opportunities. Certainly professional landlords are looking at it that way." Mr Horne suggested.
Recent research from upad.co.uk suggested that 58 per cent of landlords in the UK feel more confident currently than they did in the previous month.
