Property insurance: Investors 'are considering holiday homes'
Written by Michael Brown
British people are considering investing their money in holiday homes with prices being depressed at the moment, according to an expert.
In news which may interest those with property insurance, Geoff O'Neill, owner of the South Hams branch of Coastal Property Search, said that as people are not travelling abroad so much, they are now looking at alternative ways to spend their money.
He suggested that holiday homes are one of the most reliable ventures for buyers.
"Everybody needs to be cautious about their investments but, over the very long term, properties perform well against other forms of investment," he added.
Mr O'Neill went on to say that holiday homes are always going to be popular, particularly if buyers select properties in areas which have enduring appeal for holidaymakers.
Nestoria.co.uk recently reported that house prices in 19 British holiday destinations, including Devon, Dorset and the New Forest, rose in June and July compared to the same period in 2008.
