Property investors seek stable markets
Property investors with substantial amounts of money to invest are looking at Europe's more established markets such as Italy, according to property agent Casa Travella.
While emerging markets, particularly in Eastern Europe have become hotspots for property investment, Linda Travella of Casa Travella and regular guest speaker on the radio and television said would-be developers with money to invest prefer established and stable markets.
She said: "Clients who are looking to invest larger amounts of money are turning to the stable markets, which have a good infrastructure and culture plus of course, quality restaurants, bars and boutiques."
The infrastructure means commercial developments can be easily accessed immediately, without having to create their own or wait for the country to catch up.
Ms Travella added: "I think people are returning to look at the stable markets where they are sure of their investment, and they are favouring an area where travelling from the UK is quick and easy which is paramount to their lifestyles."
