Property owners urged to consider currency fluctuations
Currency fluctuations are a big issue that property owners and investors should consider when it comes to buying European property.
The editor of A Place in the Sun Magazine has claimed that any owners and investors looking to get involved with the foreign property market should ensure that they take such fluctuations into account.
Liz Rowlinson believes that many property hunters have been put off buying specifically in France, Spain and Switzerland, urging the use of a currency broker to secure an exchange rate before purchase.
Ms Rowlinson said: "When you buy a property abroad you should always use a currency broker to buy your currency. Forward buy it at a certain favourable rate - you should get advice on that because you can save yourself lots of money in terms of financial planning."
A Place in the Sun Magazine is an overseas property magazine and is the official magazine of the popular Channel 4 series.
