Provence region 'ideal for couples'
The Provence region of France is ideal for couples looking to buy a home abroad.
According to Melody Raynaud, press and marketing representative for Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur, the area is ideal for active people who are seeking peace of mind.
The expert says Provence is great for people who like peace, quiet, wine and sun but also like to be outdoors and engage in sports.
In addition Ms Raynaud says the area is close to destinations like Avignon, Marseille and Nice and has good transport links, being well connected with flights.
She adds that seaside towns like Arles are also nearby, saying: "Arles is a Roman city, there are a lot of remains from the Roman times and Aix-en-Provence is so close to Marseille which is said to be the capital of Provence."
France is proving popular with investors, with Jet-to-Let magazine saying it was the second most popular destination for two years running.
