Soaring investment reported in Parisian properties

Investment has soared in the French capital over the last few years, according to a property advice website.

With such good connections to the UK and the continent via Eurostar, internal train services and flights, Paris is extremely attractive for overseas buyers who are generally keen for easy access back home.

But this of course has the added benefit of encouraging tourists who can rent out properties all year round from investors, according to Buy Association.

The firm's overseas property editor, Paul Collins, said: "There are quite a few developments springing up… in Paris suburbs, which can be quite good for buy-to-lets because you can let them out to commuters that are going into Paris – they can get in reasonably easily."

Tourists are further encouraged by the diverse and vibrant lifestyle of Paris, with its famous reputation as the most romantic city in the world mixed with cultural attractions and fine culinary experiences.

In addition, its well-established and secure property market makes it a safer investment than looking further afield, for example in burgeoning eastern European markets.
