Turkish buy-to-let-market is 'strong'
The buy-to-let market in Turkey is "very strong" and is set to attract more UK investors looking to purchase property in Europe, according to an expert.
Giovanna Gentile, public relations executive at Atlas International, says the country is an appealing prospect for landlords as more budget airlines are offering services to the Aegean and Mediterranean coastlines.
"With many developers offering rental guarantees with their projects, the buy-to-let market is very strong. In 2008, Turkey was the number one tourist destination for Europeans with an excess of 20 million visits," asserts Mr Gentile.
He adds that the Bodrum peninsula is particularly popular with holidaymakers and is a well-established market for investors to look at.
ABTA's latest Travel Trends for 2009 report states that Turkey will see a substantial increase in the number of British tourists choosing it as a holiday destination due to it not using the Euro.
Last year nearly a third more holidaymakers from the UK chose the country as their holiday destination compared to 2007.
