London offers structural advantages for property owners

Property owners in London have an advantage over their counterparts in other cities because of the fact that the capital has a whole host of structural advantages it can call upon.
That's the view of Andrew Burrell, head of forecasting at Jones Lang LaSalle, who believes that the London property market has a resilience which many other cities lack, meaning people always seem to return to invest.
He suggested that may investors see London as a safe bet as they know that in terms of economic struggle, a London property is going return a reasonable return.
Mr Burrell said: "Generally, it is the first market people come back to when things pick up. It is a big market - it has a big range, [with] a lot of structural advantages that other markets don't have."
