Property owners not yet ready to see full effect of energy price cuts

Some of the finance saved by property owners by studiously comparing commercial property insurance quotes could be being lost as they potentially lose out on energy cost savings.
Audrey Gallacher, director of energy at Consumer Focus, has claimed that there are some consumers who will benefit from the cuts but that for many it won’t go far enough considering the rises the previous year.
Many commercial property owners may still find that their energy bills for properties are still a challenge and, according to Ms Gallacher, will be looking for them to fall further.
Ms Gallacher said: "This round of cuts will give much needed relief to millions of households struggling in the current economic climate.
"However, there is still a big gap between these price cuts and the increases which suppliers passed on to customers last year."
ScottishPower recently became the last of the big six energy suppliers to cut its tariffs.
