An award-winning farm shop and adjoining restaurant in West Yorkshire have been completely destroyed by fire, highlighting the importance of landlords' commercial buildings insurance.
Emergency services were called to Hinchcliffe's Farm Shop, at Sunnyside Farm in Netherton, around 22:00 BST on Monday, the Yorkshire Post reported.
More than 100 firefighters battled to contain the blaze, which also gutted the neighbouring Old Farmhouse restaurant.
Writing on the farm shop's website yesterday, the owners said: "We are devastated to announce that at around 10pm last night a huge fire wiped out the shop, the restaurant, store room and offices."
They added that, due to the complete destruction of the premises, trading in the entire complex would be "halted until further notice".
Last week, landlords in the Earley area of Reading were reminded of commercial property insurance's vital importance, when the BBC reported that flooding from a burst water main threatened several homes and businesses.
